This is a 1981 Kitchen-Klatter Cookbook, published by The Prairie Press in July 1981. Kitchen-Klatter was a beloved Iowa-based cooking publication and these community-style cookbooks are full of classic American recipes and old-fashioned kitchen charm.


What makes this particular copy extra special is the original handwritten recipes and notes added by its previous owner. One handwritten recipe is titled “Low Sodium Type Chili”, and there is also a handwritten index/references to additional recipes throughout the book.


The cookbook contains classic recipes including pancakes, waffles, bacon waffles, applesauce pancakes, peanut butter pancakes, breads, desserts, main dishes and more.
